John, it's rare, but not unheard of. They like their meat a little ripe & so will leave a carcass for a few days before devouring. A hiker in the Rockies who was left this way. Thru sheer grit & determination he managed to drag himself back to civilization. Wild cats are another story. They like their meat fresh & will devour you while you're still alive. Fight like there's no 2moro if attacked by one or there probably won't be.

Bears do get stung by bees, mostly on the face but just less so on their body because of the thick fur.

how do you tell the difference between a grizzly bear and a brown black bear, you walk up and slap it up side the head and climb a tree, if it climbs up after you it's a brown black bear if not it's a grizzly

Watched an interesting film. A bear and an elk in mortal combat. I was rooting for the elk. It took a long time, but the bear finaly won. I didn't know elks were so strong.
