What symbol appeared on Paladin's business card on the U.S. TV western "Have Gun, Will Travel"?

I always wondered if Paladin was what happened to Rhett Butler after he left Scarlett. Clues for that theory were that Paladin was wealthy with money that survived the Civil War. He wore a planters hat. Paladin knew fine liquors and fine foods which meant he came from generations of money. A Paladin is a savior or “white knight” hence the chess knight on his business card. Also, he got paid for his trips to save people but that money basically amounted to business expenses. Those escapades didn’t support his very lavish life style.
