“Which water body borders Crimea” would suffice. No “Russian”. The question is deliberately posed in a provocative manner. People in Ukraine are dying every day on the war and somebody finds it funny.

Firstly, Crimea is part of Ukraine and illegally occupied by invading Russian soldiers. Secondly, the referendum was held under threat by the Russian military post-invasion. The explanation given is extremely misleading and inaccurate.
