haseq64, some people seem to have a problem understanding the difference between "official currency" and "widely accepted currency". The Riel is the official currency but US Dollars are widely accepted, perhaps even preferred.

dollis1963, not one of the countries mentioned uses "US dollars", they each have their own state currency unique to their own nation. The name of it is just also called the "dollar". For example, have you ever seen a Canadian dollar? They don't look like ours and are not worth the same amount but they are called dollars too.
