You can spot the license plate on the yellow deuce coupe as THX1138 in "American Graffiti"

WaldoLydeker, I'm not sure if it'true, but I heard this appears in all Lucas's pictures. It was the serial number on the trash compactor in Star Wars.

CakeYouSee, no the trash compactor number was 3263827, but it was the cell block that the supposed prisoner transfer was from that they used as a guise to get into Princess Leia’s cell block

BlueEyedAlien, You are incorrect. It is THX1138. I was in it. I was 13. A bunch of us kids shaved our heads for it. It was filmed in the bay area in California

BlueEyedAlien, “USC” was called “university of spoiled children” when I grew up in SoCal in the 1960’s.

Happy Hippie, Yup! One scene was filmed in Oakland. In the tunnel, if my memory serves me.

If you combine this movie with Parts: a clonus horror, you get The Island.

WaldoLydeker, That's because they were both filmed in San Rafael California. I was in both movies. When I was 13 a bunch of us kids shaved our heads for THX1138 and a few years later American Graffiti filmed the cruise scenes on our main street, 4th Street. For a couple weeks we cruised 4th. Absolute blast.

I saw THX1138 as part of the USC student film exhibition. It was about 30 minutes shorter and didn’t have Robert Duvall. It was a standout student film, and Lucas’ ticket to ride with the big studios.
