Atlantis was not fictional and the remains of it's concentric rings as described by Plato, can be seen via satellite images of North West Africa in what is now the Sahara desert. It was likely destroyed by a global cataclysm around 13,000 years ago, probably due to comet fragments impacting the earth at that time. This same event had a huge impact worldwide and wiped out the majority of a long forgotten, ancient, advanced civilization. Goes to show how tenuous life is and how those in charge suppress things like this.
