While I certainly understand a DNR ( Do Not Resuscitate order), I think there's a big difference between taking someone off life support and giving someone(a permanently infirmed person, for example ) something to kill them, which is what I think of when I hear euthanasia. Sorry for the run on sentence.

This is so wrong. Watching the videos we know that she was able to react and feel. She might not have remembered who she was or what have happened to her but she was conscious as they fed her with spoon! She could have been in pain so many times and not being able to communicate it. The nurses might have believed they provide her with best care but it was selfish believe in doing a good deed.

UnopposedYogi27101, I disagree. the perpetrator should have been castrated WITHOUT the benefit of anesthesia then parade naked around the city so that people can see the sort of person he is.This would also hopefully act as a deterrent as well against future sexual assaults

They could have tried to keep that nurse on treatment. Who knows? There would be a miracle coming if they waited more than 42 years... Using euthanasia is like saying "I run out of patience, just end his/her life right now!!! I cannot wait any longer!!!"

It was attempted murder, strangulation with a dog chain. The rape wasn't counted, because it wasn't the "normal" kind. She was left deaf, blind, paralysed and in a vegatative state. She could eat mashed foods and doctors felt she had a semblance of response too certain situations. Nurses and hospital staff opposed her euthanasia, because they had been caring for her for a long time already and were looking after one of their own.
