Never had them, but I was in Jordan in August, and they were ripe. Are them off the tree. They’re amazing and nothing like the dried ones. Like comparing a plum and a prune.

I never dared eat a fig. When I was a kid, I found it looked uninviting...but I find myself looking at them at the store, and wondering how they taste like. I have asked others but all they can tell me is that it tastes dry, even when fresh. Is it sweet? sour?
