What is measured with the Mohs scale?

I recall entering my geology exam and my heart sank when I saw a 2 pence coin & an array of minerals! I passed through.

Also used by jewelers to determine the hardness of different gems. For example, diamond, the hardest of gems, is 10 on the Mohs scale.

Other options Unit for Pressure is P (Pascals) Unit for temperature is Kelvin Units of speed are metres per second (m/s), kilometres per hour (km/h) and miles per hour (mph).

Mohs also refers to dermatology.
