WHEN MY FAMILY FIRST WENT THERE, IT WAS A SMALL AMUSEMENT PARK WITH A WESTERN THEME. THAT WAS 1962. EVERYTHING CHANGED LATER. I GUESS THEY WERE COMPETING WITH DISNEYLAND.

Kennywood amusement park is older than that. It started is 1880's a a trolley stop and popular picnic area.

We were there before they changed it to a more modern park. It had a western theme to it. You could pan for gold, take a ride in a coach all that good stuff. Their fried chicken was amazing.
