Player #9398981, no it wasn't an Australian movie. It was a Hollywood big budget film. He actually rescued a LOT more than what the movie portrayed. They thought his real life number would be to unbelievable. You should read up on the actual person. It was an AWESOME movie with a great cast.

It is NOT officially called the "Congressional" Medal of Honor and never has been. All three versions (Army, Navy, and Air Force) are simply the "Medal of Honor". Congress does not authorize nor give it.

A very difficult film to watch. It’s a great film but wow. These men showed so much courage and bravery. We really don’t make men like this anymore.

He even faced incarceration/prison time(military jail) for refusing the orders of his superior officers by refusing to relent and carry a weapon. We do not have too many people now a days who are that dedicated to their faith and beliefs. Incredible true story, Incredible movie. Bucket List movie for sure!

Very, Very GOOD movie.👍👍Highly recommend. But, in the movie, he Volunteered for service. He was NOT Drafted. That's what makes, him wanting so much, to stay in, so Heroic.
