How many monasteries are located on Mount Athos?

So lucky to have been born in a country where woman are equal to men. I feel so sorry for women from, sadly, too many countries where they are not allowed to drive, have to cover up in case they make a man not able to control himself; still die during childbirth unnecessarily, no birth control....the list is so long and so sad. .

I once spent a month visiting monasteries in Mount Athos. It is a beautiful and amazing place.

Irrationality, fanaticism, backwardness, corruption, all in the name of religion.
