In psychiatry, what does OCD stand for?

I keep counting what little money I have!

Nowadays everybody should wash their hands and it's a symptom of OCD!

True fact, I also had OCD.

Both my daughter and I suffer from this...an adjunct from DV and from other long term mental illnesses and trauma..its like a coping mechanism for her ..for me ..its thoughts...

There’s no such thing as OCD. There are people who just aren’t as careful in life as they should be and these are the ones that have to deal with housefires accidents to your children water left running in the bathtub, etc. Anyone who identifies you negatively as OCD is only jealous because they’re not as careful as you are. Two places I can think of off the top of my head is the spellchecker, and the Orlando music park that did not completely close the belt on the young man that fell out of the ride, and the lady who did not close the door all the way at the Uvalde school. Those are two situations that really could’ve used a careful person; not an OCD person, but a careful person.

Tina, I have never been diagnosed with OCD, but I tend to do most of the things mentioned. I check doors, stoves and other things repeatedly. I also wash my hands several times.

I think I have OCD, I can't sleep without checking my door and valuable stuffs over and over again, even when I'm alone in the room 😔 and is so disturbing.

I have been diagnosed with depression and anxiety disorder. I count letters on signs and can't stop until I come up with even fives! It's very distracting and affects my attention span.🤪
