Lady V, I live in Shropshire, 5 miles from the Welsh border. Llangollen, on the River Dee is lovely. Try to visit in early June, they have an international Eisteddfod (festival of music, poetry and dance) there every year.

Lady V, My mum was born in Gilfach Goch. It means Little Red Corner. I love the Welsh language and their singing.

MadMarcus1812, because you weren’t! England & Wales are two separate entities who are both part of the UK, and incidentally also part of Great Britain.

JDHunter1983, sometimes you need to get away from a place to appreciate it. I spent a month in Bala years ago and still remember it very fondly. Beautiful, magical place.
