How many toes does a dog usually have?

I have Bernese mountain dogs. They have six toes on their hind legs. Gotta love a dog!!

dogs can have dewclaws on the front feet, too.. I honestly more often see them on the front paws, not the back.

20 on my dalmatian cross breed. she's got the standard 4, plus a dew claw on each paw. she was abandoned by careless previous owners, so I took into the nearest centre. she stayed there a week, nobody claimed her & I recieved a call on my birthday to say, would I like to home her + I did. she's given me so much joy in my young life

I have a Maltese that looks like your picture but with a short cut. Jake has dewclaws on Al 4feet lol I guess it has no rhyme or reason as to how many each dog has just like people. Dogs are a special gift that gives unconditional love to us.
