It’s true they have no teeth, but they DO EAT THEIR FOOD by melting it in their mouth. Also - why is there a photo of a squirrel attached to this question? There’s never been need to give the answer away, but it’s unfair to mislead :(

Katerina Zissman, It means that TEETH are not required for turtles to eat their food. And how is the squirrel pic misleading, when squirrel is not one of the answer choices?

Player #92723922, I agree that is worded incorrectly. Turtles do bite and it does hurt!

PG, they cannot amputate a human arm or a human leg. But they can bite through a broom handle and have gotten some fingers.

The amazing species of turtle are the Alligator Snapping Turtles. They can amputate an arm or a leg with no effort at all. In addition, they cannot retract in their shells like other species of turtles. So if they are ever attacked they are pretty much defensive.
