So many Americans died that day and also. soldiers were stranded on the other side and unable to help...MY UNCLE was on that side... And, everyone was going crazy seeing what was unfolding and were unable to help something he never got over..

redslove... it was fat man and little boy. we dropped the first and asked 4 surrender. they did not comply. the dropping of the second was actually merciful because if we had to invade Japan losses on both sides would have been horrible.

I met a former soldier at the Veteran Hospital in St. Louis that was involved in Pearl Harbor. He had dementia but still could remember that faithful day. I believe his name was Mr. Fogolia.
