Who directed the 1963 film, "The Birds"?

I remember seeing this movie in Germany as a young child. My Mother and I then walked home and we were scared to death.

As a 15 year old kid in 1976 I drove from Santa Rosa, CA, to Bodega Bay as my older brother and his fiance relaxed in the back seat of the car. It was cool to visit a few places that were featured in the film.

Hitchcock is the only choice who was old enough to be making films in 1963. Tarantino was born in 1963.

Alfred Hitchcock was a very demanding producer. For him, it had to be said and done just so. He was definitely a perfectionist. But it Really showed and was worth the effort in the end. That's when actors Really Had to act. They didn't have All these special effects and all.

I saw this on tv in 1970 for the first time. When you’re 12 years old, it’s kinda hard to forget the picture of the man with his eyes pecked out.

My favorite Hitchcock film. I watched it at a friend's house and had to walk home afterwards. I was terrified! :-O

I remember watching that movie! I had a nightmare that night about one bird trying to get in the house to peck my eyes out. I woke up to the sound coming from the blinds hitting the window rhythmically. Scary!

Didn't know that the inspiration for this was birds affected by toxic algae. Thanks!
