my favorite author, Clive Cussler is the person who discovered the resting place of the Hunley which sank after the success of torpedoing the Housatonic which sank first.

check March 2020 article in post msg. very well written. I believe heart failure. as sudden death from blast. brilliant lady wrote the investigation and is from Duke University. instant death takes place in complete lung damage-heart damage or brain damage. I believe sudden death was heart related from shock wave. the victims of the sub were found in a sitting position 2000 and buried in 3004. I don't know where or why they were kept for four years before burial.

The Hunley sank multiple times and lost several crews, but there was no shortage of volunteers.
