What is the main function of a plant's leaves?

I love this description of leaf biology. Latin is the language of science and medicine. It establishes a standard, used in any scientific community worldwide. When someone uses the term “Malus” which is Latin for apple every scientist or science minded person will understand.

The process of making the plant's food is known as photosynthesis

Wouldn't it be better to explain it in English instead of the Celestial language. lol
