Alabama is a great band that was popular when country music was still worth listening to. Now it doesn't know if it's pop or rap or whatever, but it isn't country. Charlie Rich didn't like John Denver; today he would lose his mind.

Some say the way to identify a true old time fiddler is if they "dance" while they play. Kershaw was a fiddling, dancing musician extraordinaire. To my mind there will never be a "real" fiddlers like him.

JimmyLovesQL, I liked your comment but I must tell you that Charlie Rich died in 1995. Two years before John Denver. Me personally, I think Charlie and John are long overdue for the Country Music Hall of Fame.
