All the people up in arms about GM foods might be surprised to learn that carrots are actually …..purple. The orange colour is from centuries of selective breeding. Heritage purple ones can still be found and are a different eating experience. There are purple potatoes too . Try a meal with purple mashed potatoes and purple carrots!

Carrots are one of my favorite foods and I like to eat them with peanut butter to soften them.
