Which fruit is in the picture?

Years ago, I was lamenting on the phone with my Aunt Elaine about the things I missed most about Utah while living in Texas. The first thing I miss (still) is the scent of lilacs. We always had lilac bushes in our yard, and the scent is heavenly. They won't grow in the South because, in order to flower, a lilac requires a hard ground freeze, which doesn't happen here. The other things I miss are peaches (soft and juicy) and cherries. About a week later, I got a package from my Aunt. Inside, I found a pound of cherries and a big candle that smelled exactly like lilacs. It still makes me cry when I think of it.
