toothless beachrat, I can't understand the UK obsession with the microwave - it seems everyone (except me) has one. (I have a 1920's house with teeny, tiny kitchen, so no room). But it frustrating that so much supermarket food can only be cooked in the microwave and so is useless to me.

Stella, I immediately thought the same thing. It looks to have the revolving plate beneath the rack, so I guess it really is a microwave. I was leaning towards convection oven at first.
