I loved his radio show in 1985. I remember a certain joke he told about a missing dog: one eye, no tail, three legs;goes by the name of Lucky.😁😁😁😁😁

Paul Harvey was great, and a broadcasting institution.
Recently, Mike Rowe of Dirty Jobs and mega-voiceover fame has begun a podcast in similar fashion to carry on in the tradition of "The Rest Of The Story". It's an homage to Paul Harvey's work and style that continues the tradition. Mike Rowe's podcast is called, "That's The Way I Heard It".

Always loved listening to Paul Harvey. Wish we had a radio or Television Host that was as entertaining and TRUTHFUL as Paul Harvey. Walter Cronkite came vary close. also early 60 Minutes shows. Loved Harvey’s humor and caring for our soldiers! Never heard a curse word. And he loved God.

retiredladytrucker, Yes, Jesus Christ warned us about the last days of a wicked world. Are we listening to him?

Ms. Ninja1
I miss "the rest of the story" segments. And I miss hearing Mr. Harvey's voice. I'm quite sure he is Heaven's Harald. With a voice like his how could he not be. may he rest in peace. I'm truly sorry if I may make anybody cry. That certainly wasn't my intention.

Paul
But was he ever shot in the fracas?🤓😎✌🏻

Charlie
My grandpa, who grew up during the depression, served in the army, was a great mechanic, carpenter, and farmer always would tune in to Paul Harvey every day like clockwork. Almost like a ritual. He loved to share his stories. Paul Harvey resonated with the common man. I loved the rest of the story!

Joyous one
penawareof, of course he was lucky, he still had one eye, three good legs and well who needs a tail anyways!

When I was a kid in the 80s I always loved when it would come on the radio in the car. Mike Roe's The Way I Heard It is good but just not the same...Good Day to you Mr Harvey!

This question reminded me of my father. He use to listen to this show every day. I use to think it was incredibly boring. My father has been deceased for many years; now this show is a fond memory, like so many others.
