I have eaten this cake so many times it is sooooo delicious! 😋 someone in the family was friends with my Dad and send him a card and the cake every Christmas. The cake comes in a wooden box and I have several of them that I use to store special things. 😊

pixieish, I have been to Vienna and have seen the torte...but unfortunately I hate chocolate !! I know what a waste! But Vienna was amazing and I learned an awful lot there! I would definitely recommend a trip to see it! Even if you hate chocolate!!!

Never heard of this cake but wow nice to savor on special occasions. I would love to visit Vienna, it has a reputation of a classy cultural city, at least that was the case generations ago

This cake looks so yummy. I love chocolate. My great grandparents came from Vienna and owned a bakery. I. sure they made the cake there.

Shaddy1997, Had one day in Florence and it was a Monday so museums were closed. Have wanted to see Michael Angelo's statues for many many years. Was able to see the replica, in a pouring rain, high on a hill after a bus ride. A Sacher Torte would have made me feel better. LOL It was a terrific view, could pick out significant places.
