Which tool is commonly used to straighten hair?

I thought a flat iron is what you use to iron clothes with!

Straightened! my hair! love to do that! but it takes like a forever so I don't do it all the time! but like every year! and when I do it's waist length! always get compliments for my hair body and teeth! but I naturally have curly hair! and when curly it's down to my shoulders!

Just put your head on the ironing board to do it . Of course if you want curly hair you have to use a blowtorch . As much nonsense as this question . A flat iron is for smoothing clothes. Hair straighteners for straightening hair ( strangely enough) and I’ve never heard them called flatirons.
