Which hand is most commonly dominant in people?

When I was in the hospital, I became ambidextrous. My right hand was just as bad as my left.

I’m left handed, when I lived in Birmingham at school I was the only lefty, 10 yrs ago I moved to Dudley, not that far away, every other person is a lefty, also my great grandfather was ambidextrous and a very good carpenter

As a teacher I had one student who was left handed so I went to his desk to teach him to write correctly with his left because so many left handed people have. been never been taught correctly how to do that.

My husband is left handed. I also use my left hand for the computer mouse and any remote. This came in handy when I broke my right arm.

My daughter seemed to favour her left hand from day 1, so I encouraged that : it was a little difficult with writing as you tend to cover/smudge as you go - but when she took up football as a 6yr old quickly became a star left footed striker !

DawnyG, i was left-handed up to aged 7-8 then i was forced to use my right hand. i think it’s mean and cruel to make a child do that! Im 65 and i still find myself using my left hand also i use it very comfortablely with other things! My youngest child, who is 40 yrs old is a lefty. My mom was extremely upset at me when she heard im letting all my children use whatever hand they perfered!

Everyone has said I'm bonkers, but I believe I "accidentally trained" my baby to be a leftie when teaching her to self feed with a spoon, my right hand used, being on her left side facing her, taking her left hand to hold her spoon and bring it to her mouth.

NEVER, should you discourage a left handed person to stop 🛑 using it!!!!
