I always have to acknowledge Linda Ronstadt, my forever love, the only singer I've ever had a crush on. During that magical era of folk-rock though, there were three other ladies whose music was incredible - Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, and Judy Collins. As soon as I typed Joni, all the rest came up on my keyboard prompts I've written them together so often. "Big Yellow Taxi" is such a fun, playful song, yet it has a serious message about the environment, something that was only beginning to get people's attention. My favorite though is "Both Sides Now" hauntingly beautiful and more meaningful as the years pass.
