What is the traditional British way to serve tea?

DawnyG, Biscuits yes, but not the chocolate covered ones. Ginger nuts or digestives are the best I believe.

Meryl, you could have said in the British Isles as Eire is also a tea-drinking country. The addition of scones etc is for afternoon tea.
