Washington didn't live there because it was not completed yet.

Washington picked the site, hired the architect, approved the plans and even provided lumber for the job.

F8os6s13, I always try to do that, but I have found that Auto Correct is responsible for some of the "incorrectness" - which you may not find if you don't proof your comments before clicking on OK (it's also difficult sometimes to edit your comments when you do proof them because Auto Correct is still working/making changes - and, it's hard to scroll through your comments). As one simple example, I purposely did not capitalize islamics (referring to radicals) and communists in one particular comment, but Auto Correct did - I did not want to give them even that little bit of "respect" - so I had to go back and fix it. Also, I believe that some people making comments are not real familiar with English, like children or people from other countries, etc.
