In which city did Germany surrender to the allies at the end of World War II?
Correct answer: Reims
I am not a number.
Karl Dönitz succeeded Hitler as President of Germany and held that office from 30 April 1945 until 15 May. He was convinced of war crimes at Nuremberg but only spent 10 years in prison, living in retirement from 1956 until his death in 1980. Even in his later years, he was openly anti-Semitic and an unregenerate Nazi; a hateful man.

the nazis failed in Berlin and elsewhere because they surrendered. they were getting clobbered. they knew the war was lost. and it was always going to be an unconditional surrender. the allies weren't offering any terms

Never heard about Reims, but I know that there was an unconditional surrender on May 8th in Berlin. The house there it took place in the district of Karlshorst is now a museum.
