Which type of pen uses liquid ink and a nib for writing?

I've not heard of the fountain pen

I hope children today learn to write .. I heard that they were not teaching writing in school which is sad.

I grew up using fountain pens till us kids used to try to make our own ink. Then ballpoint pen was introduced to me, I fell in love never to look back. ps. Love writing. !!!
