Where in the United States is the only place where the U.S. Mail is delivered by mule?
Correct answer: Supai, AZ

RoxieM85
I knew it was something to do with the grand canyon. Had a field trip there in second grade. Awesome place. We actually rode in an old steam engine and got "robbed" by outlaws on horses. Obviously parents knew what was happening lol but it was the best field trip ever lol

DeepThinker
I had no idea that mail was still being delivered by mule in modern times. This game is teaching me so much.

lots of interesting information

Lige1
Rosie20000001, my mailman is a jackass. Does that count?
I couldn't resist; he's actually a very nice man.

SharingCity, no one seems to care about the people who were here before the white man showed up. so darn shameful what the natives have had to go thru

1LuckyGirl
I'm glad they specified it as the most remote community in the "Contiguous" U.S., Living in Alaska, we have MANY villages accessible only by air, boat, snowmobile or Dogsled! ;)

MRGmicky
I have backpacked to Supai. The PO cancellation stamp has a picture of the mule train. Gorgeous waterfalls, especially Supai Falls!

very interesting and educational. good to know there are still some places on God's Earth that is concrete free. Free of cars/motor vehicles a sprinkling of people surrounded by nature and her sounds. Has to be almost Heavenly.

I guessed dead wrong but the information somehow is still making me feel like a winner!

Player #439173, I agree...a continuing abuse of The Native Peoples.

Hunger Knowledge
NUMBER 1 reason it's called Bullhead, the natives refuse to relocate

Thank God for Lifelines.

Just a reminder, many Native Americans object to bring referred to as Indians.

I've been to the Grand Canyon, but was never in good c enough condition to tackle a hike to the bottom and then back up. Would have loved to do that hike.

jewels
I've been there but by a small pontoon raft! I saw the donkeys coming down the steep trail. Some in our boating excursion had been down the Colorado River before and had mail waiting for them! ☺️

Ana
RoxieM85, they still have that attraction. I went in February 2024. The Grand Canyon was amazing and the “robbers” on the train ride back were a neat experience too. 😊

brickmartian
This sounds like a place I would enjoy visiting!
I've always enjoyed hiking to the most remote regions to explore, and just to "get away" from civilisation for a while!
I have a sister who lives in Arizona now!
Maybe I'll take some time to "visit" her, and do some more "exploring" in Arizona!

Ben
my father used to pack mules down to Phantom Ranch at the Grand Canyon.

Player #439173, the indidous peoples that lived here before the `white man` showed up were waring killing raping and enslaving other tribes for thousands of years

Tamara
Mariposa , Yes, we did have this question previously. That was the reason why I had it correct because I remembered it. Yay!

Suzanne Peters
Lige1, berry funny. Glad he is actually nice.

LillySparrow
Laura , Javelina’s (pronounced Have-a-lina). Well, I looked the Javelina up and that lady was dead wrong! They are NOT a member of the rat family, more of a pig! And to think thatI missed out in what was probably delicious chili!!! That was around 1982? I was only 20 boohoo

LillySparrow
Laura , Some friends of mine cooked one underground for 3 days and made chili with some of it. When I was about to take a bite this lady said, “did you know they’re a member of the rat family” I practically dropped my bowl and didn’t eat it then!

LillySparrow
I would like to try this job! In the Grand Canyon but I worry about a misstep by the mule

Helen Back
I don't live far from Dixville Notch

Didn't we just have this question?

We hiked in many years ago. Beautiful falls. Very isolated and a poor area. Heartbreaking. Worth the trip. Suggest camping out.

MykaMom
Player #22441585, I agree with you. Indians refer to natives of India. I also like the Canadian title of First Nations People.
