Who is the lead singer of Coldplay?

I really can't understand why everyone seems to despise them so....I actually enjoy their music.

The band is anything but "dirty hippie" band. It's a quality music, they can play many instruments, the lyrics make sense not like most bands' nowadays. His comment on his own fans was obviously a funny compliment. U2 and Depeche M❤de are mentioned as "intelligent" music too. Well, when you comprehend the meaning between the lines and feel the music is always a precious time.

Rush of blood to the head one of the best albums of the last 20 years imo. Also, after pectoraz, they changed their name to starfish before settling on coldplay.
