What profession is responsible for enforcing laws and maintaining public order?

Andi, for my mother, etc. This cop had lived thru Hurricane Katrina and seen the worst of it. And people had helped him out. He trusted us, and we definitely trusted him. He was a Godsend in our time of need. I told him that we'd would Never forget him. But he wouldn't allow me to report his kindness back to his superiors. So I gave my word and Never reported it. I've had other experiences, too. They've all been good.

I've had nothing but good experiences with cops. One time, when we evacuated FL for Hurricane Irma, I ran into the nicest cop ever in MS! I treated him with respect, and I "laid our cards on the table" and told him we're here, and we don't have any family or friends here, and we have car trouble. And let me tell y'all, u don't have car trouble on a Sunday in MS. Because All the car dealerships are closed, so ur on ur own!! That or else u have family or friends that are ASE certified that u trust. He was like a tour guide, advising us which hotels are the best, hotels that take dogs, etc. He knew the back roads to places, where to get a wheelchair
