What is the primary reason cats purr?

Love cats, they give you so much love and happiness.

I think it is self-soothing.

My Cat purrs everyday and night and he follows my wife everywhere

Their purr has healing qualities .

My cats do whatever they want,it's nice to have them off your back once in a while.

when all day and believe that cat's pur because they are happy but some believe it could mean other things or maybe meaning. I would stick to what I always believed ' cat's pur because they are content and happy what we all need in are life's a little bit of happiness

One cat that I used to serve we called The Purring Machine.

I do also love cats.

I’ve been a cat lover my entire life. I have had the pleasure of “owning” many over the years and have loved each and every one. My cats always like me best. They know who “mom” is and I’m happy about that.
