Player #2342698, it may take a while for you to get to Egypt. In the meantime you might consider in visiting Philadelphia Pennsylvania. The reason for that is the University of Pennsylvania Museum of archaeology and anthropology has a huge absolutely huge collection of Egyptian stuff.

Player #2342698, me too! it amazes me how they managed to haul those huge blocks of stone to create those pyramids. I have watched so many documentaries all having different theories on how they were built but it is so mind blowing imagining how they did build them. I bet there were many casualties along the way

I am not a number.
The Great Pyramid of Giza a.k.a. Pyramid of Cheops or Pyramid of Khufu is estimated to comprise approximately 2.3 million blocks and have taken 27 years to build. That works out as an average of 230 to 240 blocks per day. They have extrapolated that the workforce peaked at about 40,000 people.

The pyramids don't have any decorations inside the walls are unadorned. The tombs in the valley of the kings are beautifully decorated well worth seeing.
