Too bad Levis' are not still made in the US. I may and will pay more for US goods. Everyone needs to buy American and the economics of the country will improve. This would make everyones job more secure.

Why don't Levi's make jeans for the domestic market in USA and for the international market in India. Fully understand why Americans want their iconic brands made at home. UK, like USA, has almost completely given up on this in order to reduce production costs and increase profits! No longer supporting the domestic labour market or focussed on quality- and retail price as high as ever!

Player Moosic, I think this happening everywhere. I'm in Canada and our company is slowly being moved to India and Mexico.

They are junk now. Call the company, they will admit to using cheaper materials. Belt loops rip off. Shame such a durable product went down hill. JCP Arizona Jeans, is a much better choice. But, decide for yourself!
( Snail Darter)
AllisterFiend1958, They are definitely using cheaper material nowadays......I have five pairs of 501’s and they’re all sown together in different countries....Haiti, Ecuador, Egypt, Vietnam and Italy are my labels......

Globalisation means profiteering.
The old world and US / Canadian etc economies will probably only return to manufacturing when every Chinese and Indian worker drives a Beemer and has an IPhone

Well considering many parts in US cars are made abroad I don't think it's surprising about jeans. also "Some styles in the "Levi's Premium" and "Levi's Vintage Clothing" lines are, however, made in the United States."
