GIA is a "non profit" organisation because it us supported by the companies trading diamonds. These companies manipulate the market by keeping out of it the majority of mined diamonds to keep the prices high. If all the diamonds would be released in the market you would buy tha expensive engagement ring for a fraction of it's price. Explain her what a "blood diamond" is, tell her you love her and buy her 🍔.
