I used to enjoy taking a shower but now have to take baths instead. I have CIDP and taking a shower makes it feel like I'm having thousands of glass shards hitting my skin. I'm slightly afraid and dread when I do have to shower because I know the pain the water is going to cause.

I suffer from PTSD and have a form of this. I have terrible trouble brushing my teeth and attending to my dental needs. I’m still working on this with my therapist. So I think for adults suffering from this there must be another underlying psychological disorder.

Player #20367796, Cozzy 25, You too! I broke my leg & it’s still in a cast. I won’t go near a shower because with the plastic covering, it makes for another accident, the plastic over the foot makes for a slip. So I do sponge downs. However, I can’t wait to get into the shower!! 😎
