GiGi2010, my picture shows a bottle of grenadine syrup, made by the firm Roses who do marmalade and also lime cordial. The only fruit on the label appears to be lemons . Go figure.

I recently made the syrup for a tequila sunrise cake. It would also be terrific on pancakes.

It says the syrup can minimise harsh alcohol flavours... baffles me why drink it at all then, if it's so disgusting to start with. Same with coffee... if you need it to be mixed with large amounts of milk and sugar, you don't "love coffee".

My favourite drink was a Singapore Sling. I also liked Tequila Sunrise, and when I was a kid, I tried Shirley Temple and Roy Roger. All were yummy!
