Which famous Englishman's body sailed from Cape Trafalgar to England in a barrel of brandy?
Correct answer: Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson

Nelson did indeed sail his ships between the French fleet and the shore, but not at Trafalgar... it was at the Battle of The Nile in 1798.
The French fleet had recently ferried Napoleon to Egypt and had anchored close to the shore with the majority of their guns facing out to sea. Nelson's ships, with their shallower draught were able slip behind the French fleet and annihilated it.
