The early stuff was much better quality. IKEA has maintained low prices by reducing the quality. We bought furniture in the early 90's which has really stood the test of time, and doesn't look cheap. Only Billy bookcases have stayed the same. We've bought several Poang chairs over the years, or Poems as they were called to start with. the early ones were bigger.
