Me too☺ but I don't get that bit about it being used to stir stews etc too. Never heard of that, although I suppose you could use them for that if you wanted to, but I've got wooden spoons for stews etc. My spurtle is for my Scotts Porage Oats only😁

they are usually engraved, thistles etc, that must be bargain basement one. Hard to get cool ones now.

if you are spurtle in Scotland you are also considered " skinny"

penawareof, I have one, the top is carved to resemble a thistle, their great things. I'm not sure if all Scots have one but I do!
