grandmax49456, I went and checked it out on Google. It's actually an optical illusion. It's not really that steep, is just that your are seeing the whole thing all at once. The section you can see that looks really steep is actually very very long. There are a couple YouTube videos you can go watch.

The angle that the picture is taken makes it look worse, I only got it right because I noticed the cars were right hand drive, japan is the only right hand drive in the list, the others are left hand drive

There are some roads with bigger slopes... 7% or even more. It's not too steep. It's only that you go up high quite a lot.
