I've not heard of her before either...though I had heard of the name White Mouse before - who would've thought it was this extraordinary and courageous woman. Thank you so much for this game, am learning so much more than I thought. I'll look Mdm Wake up, too, she must've died some days short of her 99th!

I met her in the 80s around the time the mini series was made. She was a lovely lady, very modest but could swear and drink like a trooper. She was travelling around as a guest speaker. I saw her when she spoke at a meeting for Veterans in Brisbane, Queensland. I had never heard of her before that but after listening to her talk and watching the TV show, I became a big fan. I researched her and read her book. In this age of the internet it is so much easier to find out information than it was then.

I cant believe that I haven't heard of her, most ww2 films show that it was the yanks alone who won the war but we fought them for 5 years with no help, we had an invention that told us every time a german plane took off on the way to our coasts so our artillery and famous spitfires were waiting for them and got took out, hence why they only bombed our cities at night because you cant dog fight in the dark and it is very difficult to shoot them down of a night. There were many heroes who should be known that aren't from the second world war but from the bottom of my heart I thank you all for your bravery and service else I might be speaking German now.
