Rainbows occur due to sunlight passing through what?

Something cool about double rainbows is that the colors in the second, fainter rainbow are reversed compared to the primary rainbow. This is because the light undergoes a second reflection within the raindrops, causing the colors to be inverted. While the primary rainbow shows red on top and violet on the bottom, the secondary rainbow displays them in the opposite order.
