I used to do a lot of sewing. I made a bag for the back of my wheelchair, it either go on the back of my chair or underneath, because there were four straps. I could have it as a shoulder bag. I made wrist braces that were all cotton. These and other things had Velcro on them. My daughter started calling me the Velcro queen.

I was told when I was little that Velcro made its debut at a Worlds Fair. After that it was available for everyone.
