Back in the 70’s my mom learnt to speak German, she taught me & my sisters some as well so that was easy for me

In my MN high school, students had a choice to either take German or French for foreign language credits. I chose French, which I enjoyed, but if I were to go back in time and make a choice, I would definitely choose German. There are so many interesting nuances to the language. English is heavily influenced by German too, and that is super cool!
